Target Audience of Thrillers

Target audience of thrillers is a very wide audience ranging from teenagers to 40 or even 50 years, depending on what kind of thriller. A type of thriller that more appeals to teenagers is horror thrillers because of the "gory-ness"  of horror combined with the pure suspence of the thrillers. Whereas political thrillers appeal to the older audience because of the political type.

      

Definition of Thriller

 Thrillers is one of the biggest genres around because it can fit with so many other genres, expecially horrors because both is based around the same conventions. The conventions of a thrillers are mostly based on suspence, usually non stop action films and high stakes and the really good thrillers end the film on a plot twist. Thrillers usually revolves around some sort of crime or crimes and like action films there is usually "hero or heroin" and a "villian" and they both are trying to catch each other (or kill). Thrillers are visually "eye catching" and keeps the audience at the edge of their seats.
